A naming ceremony’s purpose is to officially give a baby or young child, his/her name and to make the name known to all his friends and family. A naming ceremony also has an extended purpose of presenting the baby to his community and to celebrate the arrival of a new person in that community.

Your naming day ceremony will be personalised, as it should reflect your child’s individuality and as well your unique identity as parents. Together, we can prepare the ceremony to be fun, friendly and professional. The style and type of ceremony is your choice, whether it be large, intimate, formal, casual, or something in-between.

A naming ceremony may last about 20-40 minutes, depending on the content. It can be held any place of your choice. The family or guardian promises, any rituals or readings will be well-prepared, ensuring that every step is relaxed and runs smoothly. Extra meaningful moments to include siblings, grandparents and other significant people, can be incorporated into the ceremony. Perhaps, you may like a symbolic ritual such as a family sand ceremony, or tree planting... it’s all possible.
